The EFDN respects the privacy of users and ensures that personal information will always be treated confidentially and in accordance with applicable privacy laws and regulations. We do not process data without a specific reason and only will if needed for a specific purpose. The processing procedure will be stopped, effective immediately. The withdrawal of permission provided does not have a retroactive effect. Requests will be answered within one month. Should the response take longer, then the individual who made the request will be informed within one month. We may ask for further proof of identity once a question/request has been made. This is done to prevent us from providing personal data to the wrong parties or to prevent making incorrect changes to personal data or in the way in which that data is processed by ourselves.

We would like to specifically mention that the rights described above are not absolute rights. There may be circumstances in which complying/giving a hearing to a particular request might be unsubstantiated. Requests will always be assessed on its own merits. If unable to comply/give a hearing to a particular request, the individual will be informed, stating the specific reasoning. In such cases, the matter may be taken to court. The right to object the use of data for direct marketing purposes is absolute. Unsubscriptions for our commercial expressions will, therefore, be honoured.
